Significant gaps remain in research on justice technology, according to a recent article published by the American Bar Foundation. Author Jason Tashea joined host Cat Moon for a new episode of the Talk Justice podcast, where they discussed these gaps, as well as other critical areas for expanding research into technology initiatives of the justice system, courts and legal aid organizations.

From 2024 to 2025, the volume of consumer and finance cases increased by nearly 14%. Attorneys at these organizations are helping clients fight fraud, challenge predatory lending or unfair debt collection, and navigate bankruptcy and other financial disputes.
